First you will need to visit local jewelry stores, go online and look at pictures, or look through jewelry magazines to get a good idea of what you want your Swarovski crystal necklace to look like. Swarovski crystal necklaces can be designed in so many ways, it’s easier once you know what you want. Once you have done this, you can go out and purchase the necessary tools.

You can buy jewelry making tools from the local craft store. The tools that you will need fall under the general category of pliers. You can visit firemountain gems to purchase a nice set of jewelry designing tools if you are wanting to become a serious jewelry designer, or you can purchase a more affordable complete tool pack at the craft store. I will be explaining how to make this Swarovski crystal necklace.You can apply these general guidelines to whatever Swarovski crystal necklace you decide to try and design.

You will need to purchase the accessories that will make up your Swarovski crystal necklace. The Swarovski crystals can be purchased at firemountain gems or at the craft store. They are of a high quality and are affordable, however, there are more affordable crystals you can buy at the local craft store. Next you will need hair pins, crimp beads, crimp ends, hoops, clasps, whatever accessories you need. Once you’ve gathered together all the tools and supplies, it’s time to design your Swarovski crystal necklace.

I will be using a 16″ snake chain. Other popular chains include drawn cable and figure out. The crystals I will be using are drilled through completely at different angles, creating a crystal cluster. Slide the Swarovski crystals onto the hair pin and then, using one of your pliers, wrap the end of the pin to the bottom of the last crystal, making 2 or 3 wraps. Attach a connecting hoop, called a bail, to the end of the wrap. Cut off the remaining hair pina and slide the Swarovski crystal cluster onto a snake chain and you are done.
